Patrice: Brunch was delicious. Thank you.

Jack: You’re welcome. I don’t want this date to end.

Patrice: You’re making me blush.

Jack: Sorry…look, I have to tell you…so there are no questions later. I want to get married and have kids. I only want to date someone that wants the same things.

Patrice: Wow…that was unexpected…and refreshing. I don’t know any man that would say that…let alone on the first date.

Jack: I don’t like to waste time. I was engaged before, but I was too young to appreciate what I had. She found someone else before I came to my senses. I feel like I’ve wasted too much time trying to figure out what I want. Now I know what I want and I’m hoping to find someone that wants the same.

Patrice: I don’t know what to say…

Jack: Do you ever want to get married and have children?

Patrice: Yes…but I barely know you.

Jack: Would you like to get to know me?
