They had the same father, but their mothers didn't get along. Shortly after her arrival in Catalina, she landed her dream job at Voy-Air and purchased a condo. She enjoyed the time she spent with her brother, but his place was too small. Because Catalina was a small town, she wasn't too far away from him, which she liked. She met Gael just over a year ago. He proposed on New Year's Eve.

Gael’s parents are from Spain. They emigrated to Sacramento (where they still reside). He and his 2 best friends, Bruno and Tyson co-own the Taco Truck. He was still reeling from his break up with Nikki, when he met Amber Rose. He knew after dating for a few weeks that she was the one. His friends had to repeatedly talk him out of proposing too soon. After a year, he could wait no longer.

Leonard works with his father at the family jewelry store. He met Reagan while out with friends. He knew she was special and wanted to get to know her better. Before he knew it, he (someone who had never been in love) was head over heels. He wanted to get married right away, but Reagan had made it clear that she wouldn't even entertain the idea until she finished college.

Reagan thought Leonard was a little weird when she first met him (he has a very unique way of speaking...and those pointy ears). He was persistent, and once she got to know him, she found he was intelligent, had a head for business and was very sweet. He flew to Oklahoma and enlisted her friends to help him with his proposal. She said yes and reminded him that they couldn't get married until she graduated from college. She will graduate on April 27, 2019 and the wedding is scheduled for May 4, 2019.

Aquanetta and James had been dating for about six months when she found out she was pregnant (with Shameka). She knew James had been looking for a way out of the relationship (if you can call it that) and she used her pregnancy to keep him as long as she could. That lasted until after Shameka was born. A few days after she delivered, he announced he was moving out and seeing someone else. Aquanetta was furious and did everything she could to ruin his new relationship (calling in the middle of the night, lying saying Shameka was sick, threatening his new girlfriend…). When that didn’t work, she got a lawyer and gouged him for as much child support as she could. She planned on keeping this child. Her first two were taken by social services. She has never spoken of why they were taken, but their father stepped in and raised them.

Bernadette was raised by her father after social services took her and her sister Jameela from her mother, Aquanetta. He moved the girls to Ohio and ensured they got a good education. Bernadette always blamed her mother for not loving them enough to take care of them properly. Her father was a good man, he married a good woman. She helped raise the girls and loved them as her own, but Bernadette always longed for her Aquanetta's love. It was a love she would never get because Aquanetta was a narcissist.

She was more like Aquanetta than any of the girls...she only cared about herself.

Isaiah joined the army when he was eighteen. He had many relationships, but never married or had children. He was always very careful. He had heard plenty of horror stories about other guys being trapped into marriage and/or paying child support to a one night stand. When he met Aquanetta, he knew he had met “the one”. She had 3 grown children…none of which lived with her and she didn’t seem to want to have anymore. Isaiah married Aquanetta on January 1, 2019. They had been dating for seven months when he proposed. He was surprised when she said she wanted to get married right away, but didn't question her.

Jen knew she wanted to be a singer at an early age and she didn’t let anything stop her. She left home after high school, moving into an apartment with some students from Juilliard. She got some parts in a few Broadway plays (mostly chorus). She was surprised when, after a show she found Snoop Dogg waiting backstage for her. He wanted her to sing at his club in LA. It was in LA that she met Ben. He was there on a business trip. She knew he was the one, but didn’t know if things would work long distance. There were some rough patches, but they got through them. He asked her to marry him and move to Catalina. It was perfect timing as Snoop had recently opened a club there.
